"Dingo Rock"

Dingo Rock was inspired by a local dingo family that frequents the areas around Karratha and Dampier, often seen roaming the town and nearby beaches.
While dingoes are often viewed as predators and a nuisance, I have found myself captivated by their inquisitive nature. I have watched them playing in the shallow waters around the mangroves, offering a glimpse into a gentler side of these animals that is often overlooked.
This painting brings together the character of these local dingoes with the striking red Pilbara rocks that Karratha is known for, creating a piece inspired by both the wildlife and landscape of the region.
