Artist statement:
"Conversations with Roger" explores the quiet companionship and imagined dialogues that can exist between humans and animals. Inspired by everyday moments of observation, the work portrays Roger, a black cat resting among lush foliage and decorative patterns, creating a space where ordinary experiences become playful, intimate and meaningful. The work reflects themes of curiosity, connection and storytelling through colour, pattern and visual narrative.
As an artist living in the Pilbara, my work is informed by the experience of observing and discovering the world around me, translating personal experiences and moments of connection into visual form.
Care and display instructions:
This artwork should be displayed indoors, away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity and extreme temperatures. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. The artwork is ready to hang.
