Meet Mungo, a quirky one of a kind artist bear, individually designed and completely handmade by Jill Twiggs, Bears ‘n’ Beasties in Karratha, Western Australia.
Standing approximately 16.5 inches (42 cm) tall, Mungo has been created using repurposed fabric from a vintage beadspread, combined with hand felted wool felt. The wonderfully textured coral fabric gives Mungo his distinctive appearance, while the charcoal grey handmade felt creates a beautiful contrast through his face, body and oversized paw pads finished with thumbs adding to his expressive, almost human like character. He is finished with a hand knitted scarf.
Mungo is weighted with steel shot, giving him a lovely substantial feel when held and displayed.
Mungo was born on 20th September 2026 in Karratha, Western Australia and comes with his own signed identification card detailing his materials and birthday.
Mungo is a true one of a kind (OOAK) creation.
While Mungo himself cannot be duplicated, commissions are welcome for bears inspired by his style and character. Each commissioned bear will be individually designed and handmade, with its own unique personality rather than being an exact copy.
