Hand-built ceramic fruit bowl or serving platter with an organic, flowing form inspired by the natural landscape of the Pilbara. Measuring approximately 30 cm in diameter, this one-of-a-kind piece is both functional and sculptural, making it a beautiful, imperfect centrepiece for your table.
The rich crystalline glaze features deep purples, blues and earthy undertones, creating a unique surface where no two pieces are ever the same. Perfect for displaying fresh fruit, serving salads and shared dishes, or simply as a decorative statement piece.
The interior is finished in a rich reactive glaze, moving from deep navy and inky blue around the rim into smoky teal, soft aqua and pale blue through the centre. The layered glaze has a beautiful watery depth, reminiscent of a rock pool, shifting tide or deep ocean current. A lighter exterior creates contrast while allowing the handmade form and texture to remain visible.
Designed to be both functional and sculptural, it works beautifully as a fruit bowl, serving dish or salad bowl, or simply as a statement piece on its own.
Food-safe and suitable for serving. Hand washing is recommended to help preserve the handmade finish.
Please note: This is a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece and is intentionally imperfect. Small variations in shape, glaze, texture and finish are part of its character and reflect my own learning and making process. Please purchase knowing this is not a factory-perfect ceramic piece — it carries the marks of being made slowly, by hand, by me.
